TOTAL QUALITY MANAGEMENT and STATISTICAL PROCESS CONTROL

Introduction 

TQM & SPC have been introduced into a vast number of companies around the world in the last two decades.

This course covers the basic ideas or principles behind TQM and SPC techniques. It deals with the philosophy of TQM and provides the learner with a set of tools to implement a quality control system. 

Target group

This module is intended for practitioners in the industry and offers insight into the quality management arena. It is beneficial for production managers, production planners, engineers, purchasing staff, production supervision accounting or any functional area of a manufacturing organisation intending to formalise their knowledge of TQM and SPC.

Course objectives

To introduce candidates to the concepts of TQM and SPC. To develop personnel right across the organisation so that they are able to take part in implementation projects.

Entry requirements

Basic numerate and literate in English. Experience of industrial environments.
